Evil BF was never really evil. His appearance isn't even due to the corruption. It's due to the influence GF's demonic side has on his soul. He can't permanently lose himself to the corruption because his soul has already been corrupted by GF's demonic power. All it could do is suppress his soul until it eventually gathers enough strength to wake BF up and break free of the corruption. You can't corrupt what is already corrupted.
